Citizens from the European Union who will remain in Spain for longer than three months must register in the Central Registry of Foreigners in order to obtain the Certificate of Registry as a Union Citizen.

The documentation submitted must prove that you possess the means to subsist and medical insurance. This documentation may be tied to your country of origin. It is not compulsory to get a new Spanish insurance, just to prove that you do have insurance in your country of origin, and that it applies while you are in Spain. Similarly, you do not need to open a Spanish bank account, you can use proof of means of subsistence through a bank account from your country of origin. You must also present your National Identification Card from your country of origin or a valid passport.

This procedure must be done in the Bureau of Foreigners in Seville.
